2024 Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee: A Fully Electric American Muscle Car
2024 Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee
The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee carries the new Concept, a fully electric American muscle car.
The Banshee is powered by an 800V electric all-wheel drive system, offering a higher level of performance than Dodge’s other signature offerings, including the Hellcat.

The Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept offers a glimpse into the brand’s electric future through vehicles that travel at a breakneck pace.
The two-door Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept was unveiled at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan, on the third day of the three-day Dodge Speed Week series of events featuring Dodge Speed Week’s performance product announcements and disclosures.
The Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept comes with an electric vehicle unlike the one on the road today.
The new propulsion system powers the Daytona SRT Concept Charger with performance that of the famous Dodge brand SRT Hellcat engine, accompanied by the sound of the industry’s first BEV exhaust.
Exterior and Interior
The modern exterior styling of the Concept combines the Dodge’s subtle heritage cues while exceeding aerodynamic targets.
Interior design elements are connected to create an immersive driver-centric experience through sound, display, and lighting features that change inside and outside at the push of a button.
SRT Banshee Features
- R-Wing: A unique aerodynamic pass-through design feature that connects the Concept to the iconic name Dodge Daytona
- Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust: The industry’s first BEV exhaust can reach 126 dB, making it as hard as the Hellcat-powered Dodge
- eRupt: Multi-speed transmission with pure Dodge electro-mechanical displacement experience
SRT Banshee Powertrain
It’s no secret that Stellantis plans to replace the current HEMI V8 passenger lineup with two twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane inline six-cylinder engines.
The new Hurricane internal combustion engine (ICE) offers more horsepower and torque, with 15% less CO2 emissions.
The new engine architecture has been developed for several years and has just debuted in the high-output form in the Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
The move to an inline-six twin-turbocharged engine has disappointed HEMI fans that the brand that thrived into an American ‘muscular car’ brand succumbed to the V8.
Especially when Ford recently showed off its all-new 2024 Ford Mustang lineup, complete with V8, a standard 6-speed manual, and no all-wheel drive (AWD) or hybrid options.
SRT Banshee Horsepower
The entry-level Challenger or Charger can have about 550 horsepower. That would be more of an ICE option and a significant leap over the car’s current car’s natural aspiration HEMI engine.
And thanks to the Stellantis EV Day 2021 presentation, it is expected that the company will offer outputs ranging from 150 kW to 330 kW (201 to 443 horsepower) on the #3 Electric Drive Module (EDM) e-motor that will be provided on the large Architecture STLA. That is, the offer of entry-level BEVs will become standard with AWD.
Unlike the average BEV on the market, the Dodge e-Muscle Car will feature a new “eRupt” multi-speed transmission with electro-mechanical displacement that provides a different removal point.
The only other thing we can think of with similar technology is the electric Porsche Taycan.
In the Taycan, power goes to the front wheels through a single-speed gearbox with a gear ratio of 8.05:1, and it goes to the back wheels through a two-speed transmission and LSD.
The two-speed gearbox has a short planetary first gear (15.5:1) providing maximum acceleration to the Taycan, while the long ratio second gear (8.05:1) results in top speed and better efficiency.
It will be interesting to see how different the Dodge system is from Porsche.
The new e-Muscle car will also feature the new PowerShot push-to-pass feature. This feature is activated by pressing a button on the steering wheel, which boosts horsepower for a short time.
The PowerShot checks the battery charge and temperature level before performing the function and, if available, activates the new PowerShot symbol in I/P to provide real-time feedback to the driver.

How much HP does the new Dodge Banshee have?
Dodge said that the Banshee would have two different levels of upgrades. 700 horsepower is a good starting point for customers to expect.
A fully tuned Banshee should be able to hit the same goals as an SRT Demon. It should be easy for the Banshee to go over 840 horsepower.
What is Dodge Charger Banshee?
At the LA Auto Show, you can see how the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT “Banshee” Concept is set up. The concept “Banshee” Charger is a fully electric American muscle car that doesn’t use a hybrid or an engine.
Instead, it uses only a battery. And claims that it will be the “first battery-electric muscle car in the world” when it comes out in 2024.
SRT or Demon? Which is faster?
The Demon can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds, while the Hellcat takes 3.6 seconds. The top speed of the Demon is an impressive 211 mph, while the maximum speed of the Hellcat is 202 mph. The Demon is a little bit faster.
What is a Hellephant V8?
The Hellephant A170 has a 426-cubic-inch V8 engine that is supercharged and runs on E85 fuel. It is said to have about 1,100 horsepower.
It is an improvement on the 1,000-horsepower Hellephant, which was first shown in 2018 and sold as a “crate engine” for custom builds.
What is a jailbreak SRT?
The SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody models with the Jailbreak option package get a 10-hp power boost.
Even though the Dodge Challenger has been around for more than ten years, it is still one of the most popular cars made by FCA.
How fast does the Dodge Charger SRT go from 0 to 60?
The times for the Dodge Charger to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour are always impressive, and the 2022 model is no different.
It only takes the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody 3.5 seconds to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour.
