2021 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Widebody Specs

2021 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Widebody Specs – With the car powered by Hellcat, the company offers an electrical number that, in another Timeline, will cost tens of thousands of dollars more. Currently, you can buy 707-Horsepower Dodge Challenger just over $60,000. Specs

However, with great power comes limited handling. The Dodge Charger and Challenger are not appropriately known for their angular-engraving capabilities, but Dodge tries to fix that with a new widebody package. The Challenger got this update for the 2021 year model.

In the Hellcat SRT charger, the widebody package adds 3.5 inches wide to the car. The wider Track means the charger can hold a 305/35-Part tire Pirelli P-Zero, wrapping around 20-inch wheels. The new in-dish “Warp Speed ” Wheel style is available, as is the classic “Brass Monkey ” That I love.

The Charger is not only wider, though. The front spring stiffer, Bar swaying enhanced and retuned suspension geometry make the charger a little better prepared to cornering than ever before, while the revised electronic power steering fixes provide different weight settings drivers, called Street, Sport and Track.

Speaking of songs, some performance stuff carries over 2020, including a cooldown race mode that makes air flowing through the engine even when it’s turned off, Line Lock for large burnouts and launch controls to make the most of Hellcat’s 3.6-seconds 0-to-60-mph time.

6.2 Liters, the V8 supercharged in the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat puts out 707 horsepower and 650 pound-foot torque, is directed to the rear wheel only. It was a lot to deal with, especially in the Stomping reason for the day: Sonoma Raceway, with lots of off-Camber turns, blind peaks, and quick entry angles.

I put the charger in Track mode to get the best throttle response, the toughest steering and the most rigid suspension tuning. I chose to leave the paddle shifter alone, instead of allowing the eight-speed automatic transmission to do its own, downshifting under braking and holding the gears exactly as I would.

Charger the wind through 55-mph slalom easily, changing the direction quickly with only a small steering input. In a long sweeper, I have to be patient, waiting to completely remove the rudder before going hard at the throttle. When I do, the charger jumps forward, pushing well to the three-digit pace before I step on the brakes.

The 15.4-inch front Brembos has a nice bite, but it is easy to modulate, trail-braking to the top of the corner. The back end wiggles a bit as it brightens up in the corner entry, but with traction control in the standard road setting, everything is cold and restrained.

The Takeaway here is that the charger is still a bit rude and not a keen sports car. But with the grip added from the Fat P-Zero tire, and the suspension a little stiff, it doesn’t feel quite so hard to set up.

Of course, if horsepower 707 feels like too much (that kind), Dodge also offers widebody care on charger scat Pack. It gets the same wheels/tires setup as Hellcat, along with a rigid front spring and suspension tuning. Just swaying back bar is enhanced on scat packages, however, and natural aspiration, the 6.4-liter V8 puts out a still-abundant-but-far-more-managed 485 horsepower and 475 pound-foot.

The scat package is my jam. I feel like I can actually exploit all the power, get my feet to the floor in every lap. Sure, my pace isn’t as high in straightening, but I’ll still be a lot quicker. The scat Pack is 0.7 seconds slower for 60 mph than 707-HP Hellcat, and nearly 1.5 seconds slower in quarter-runs, but there is more to life than just a straight line of speed. Whereas in Hellcat I just felt like I was together to ride the thrill, scat Pack really made me feel like I was in control.
