2022 Dodge RAM 1500 Rumors, Release Date, Price

2022 Dodge RAM 1500 Rumors, Release Date, Price – RAM has some of the best-selling trucks on the market, but we can not deny that the selection is somewhat limited. Truck enthusiasts looking for medium size trucks should look elsewhere. A few years ago, GM was the only car with the middle ground offering pickups. But other companies like Ford and RAM have taken steps.

While there are currently no medium size trucks on the RAM list, this will likely change in the future. MotorTrend reported that the company wanted to develop a medium-size truck in the next five years. So, what kind of trucks will it and is it worth waiting for?

RAM is the latest FCA brand to outline the product plan for the next five years, and the company focusing on pickup officially confirms that it has an intermediate model to challenge the Ford Ranger and Chevrolet Colorado on the road. In addition, there will be a high horsepower of 1500 TRX, and a new heavy-duty model will arrive in 2019, according to Automotive News.

According to the FCA plan from last year, several new vehicles are scheduled for release by 2022, possibly including the Dodge RAM one of them. A new medium-size truck can be released for vintage or possibly previous models. The only clue we have about the new pickup is that it is likely to be structurally similar to the Jeep Scrambler.

We hope it is a lighter-duty version of the Mojave, limited edition power Cart released last year. Only 1,500 units were created and it came in a unique “sand ” color. Another speculated that it would be the awakening of Dodge Dakota, the mid-Sizer which was discontinued at 2011.

The details about the intermediate model basically do not exist at this point, and the RAM only confirms that the pickup arrived by 2022. The brand does not have trucks under 1500 in line since Dakota retired in 2011.

2022 Dodge RAM 1500 Engine

With the new generation of 1500 already here, RAM is now starting to expand its lineup. Among the additions is the official confirmation of the performance-oriented TRX trim to compete with the Ford Raptor. Models will be reported using the Hellcat 6.2-liter V8 version with 707 horsepower (527 kilowatts).

This year, the Light-Duty RAM 1500 Classic was released, a variant of the full-size RAM 1500. Currently available in a choice of three Trim and has a standard engine 305-HP. Under the right conditions, it can tow up to 8,230 pounds, which is feasible for light-duty trucks.

Another truck released this year was the 1500 RAM Warlock, the Awakening of Dodge Warlock’s 70. Like the new 1500 Classic, it offers regular two-door taxi options missing from previous generations. It has the same standard engine but also has the V8 Hemi engine available. It carries a towing capacity for 12,750 pounds.

His presentation, RAM, in particular, noted that Raptor has an average transaction price of $71,000, which is $28,000 more than just a normal Ford pickup. RAM hopes that having a competitive model produces a similar boost.

1500 will also get 2 levels of autonomous ability in 2021. This means the truck will be able to handle steering, acceleration, and braking, but the driver will still have to pay attention to the path because the system will not always be able to detect and respond to all road hazards.

The growing demand for medium trucks means that new RAM will have many rivals when it finally hits the market. These include Honda Ridgeline, Ford Ranger, Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon, Toyota Tacoma, and Nissan Frontier. Each performs well in different areas.

New RAM 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty models are also on the road, and you can get an idea of what they look like from the latest photo-eyes. The current version has the lowest average transaction price in that segment, and automakers intend to make the next-gen truck more expensive. In addition, level 2 autonomous capabilities will be available in 2022.

While the pickup consisted of 84 percent of RAM sales in the United States, regions such as Europe and Asia bought more than Van divisions. In the next few years, there will be a new generation of ProMaster City, and it will offer the autonomous feature of Level 2 in 2021. The brand will not replace the larger ProMaster, though.
