2024 Dodge Challenger  – Rumors are circulating that the twin-turbo straight-six will debut for the first time in the Dodge Challenger.

Because of this, likely, the Dodge Charger will also receive this engine and some other vital vehicles in FCA’s fleet, such as the next-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The report goes on to say that the next-generation Dodge Challenger will be sold in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and will likely have a considerable power increase over the current Pentastar V6 engine.

Another claim states that the GME-T6 engine is intended to replace the current 5.7-liter Hemi V8.

There is no official information on whether the Dodge Challenger equipped with the GME-T6 will be sold in combination with a hybrid powertrain.

This electric powertrain could replace the Hellcat in some way if it produces 700 horsepower in the north.

Meanwhile, the unaided GME-T6 gasoline engine can have enough power to match the 5.7L Hemi V8 while offering more torque. This is rumored to be, after all, the next-generation Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

Dodge had previously announced its intention to produce its first EV in 2024 during a July event that included an electric vehicle strategy by the automaker’s parent company, Stellantis.

During the event, Kuniskis stated that Dodge would not “sell electric cars – it would sell eMuscle,” which appears to be Dodge’s branding for its future EVs. The first eMuscle car will go into production in 2024.

Dodge’s future EVs will use the Fratzog logo used initially in the 1960s and ’70s. It features a split deltoid made of three arrow shapes that form a three-pointed star. The new version is designed to be three-dimensional and includes LED lighting.

In addition to electric versions of charger and challenger vehicles, Dodge also plans to produce electric trucks, including a battery-powered Ram 1500 that will compete with Ford’s upcoming F-150 Lightning.

Dodge’s sister companies, such as Jeep, Chrysler, and brands from PSA Groupe, also produce EVs.

What’s New for 2024?

The Challenger eMuscle will be the new vehicle for Dodge’s lineup for the 2024 model. The four-door Charger eMuscle may join the lineup simultaneously, but we won’t know more about the two cars until it’s closer to launch.

StellPower reports the next six-banger will have horsepower comparable to 5.7 Hemi. The internal Dodge designation for its development is the GME-T6. This means at least 372 horsepower from the engine speculated to be a 3.0-liter six-cylinder.

The last Hellcat with a power of 6.2 Hemi will be challenger 2023. With emissions tightening and V8 paving the way for electrification.

Dodge’s eMuscle Challenger is also part of this equation. As electrification depletes future offerings, it’s a natural addition to the Challenger line.

The Dodge Chargers will see a similar layout and offerings to challengers. Both will be based on Stellantis’ large car EV platform.

The eMuscle is likely to bring a premium price over gasoline-powered Challenger models, but this price is only an estimate because Dodge has not released the info.

The Challenger eMuscle is likely to be offered in similar trims, including performance versions bearing R/T and Hellcat.
