2022 Dodge Durango Citadel Rumors

2022 Dodge Durango Citadel

2022 Dodge Durango Citadel  – It’s sturdy like a traditional SUV and offers heavy-duty towing capabilities, especially when hiding the bottom of a large Hemi V8 engine.

But the comfortable ride, space-saving interior, and fairly good handling provided by the unibody design make it more like a car than a truck-based competitor like the Toyota 4Runner or Chevy Tahoe.

Families with large toys to transport might assume Durango has the ideal balance between car and truck. However, options like the newly redesigned Ford Explorer and the new Kia Telluride may be more convenient and efficient for everyone.

Durango may receive an update in 2022 for the Citadel, with a slightly refreshed exterior that includes a redesigned fascia front and grille, but major changes are found in it.

A new dashboard and a 10.1-inch infotainment screen are in the spotlight. The new R/T Tow N Go package combines a high-performance SRT model display with an active damper suspension and a 5.7-liter Hemi V8. The major eye-catching additions are the SRT Hellcat and its 710 horsepower supercharged engine.

This update comes when this version of Durango has been on the market for a full decade. Nevertheless, it still offers attractive packages with seating for up to seven passengers and a choice of buyers of a standard V6 engine with 290 horsepower or one of three V8 options.

There is a 5.7-liter offering 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque, while the 392-badged SRT model offers 475 hp and 470 lb-ft.

As we know, the SRT Hellcat is the most powerful SUV sold in America. The V6 can pull in 6,200 pounds, which is enough to beat one of its most popular competitors.

The basic 5.7-liter V8 edition can attract as much as 7,400 lbs, while the greased SRT and Tow N Go models lead the same segment of utility vehicles with a crane capacity of 8,700 lbs.

Durango is offered in several trim levels, starting with the SXT and continuing to gt, R/T, and Citadel levels before reaching its peak with the high-performance above SRT editions that can outperform any muscle car from the 1960s or 1970s.

The 5.7-liter V8 comes with an R/T trim. All others (except the fire-breathing SRT, of course) get the 3.6-liter V6 as standard equipment.

A four-wheel drive is optional, again, except SRT, which gets standard all-wheel drive. Durango’s six-cylinder fuel mileage rating achieved an estimated EPA of 19 mpg of the city, 26 mpg of the highway, and 21 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive or all.

The V8 model returns 14 mpg of the city, 22 mpg of the highway, and 17 mpg combined.

SRT gets 13 mpg of the city, 19 mpg of a highway, and 15 mpg combined, although the rugged buyers who overpowered it may not care much about efficiency.

However, everyone is possible, and Durango’s substandard fuel economy is a serious reason to consider another larger, more fuel-efficient crossover.

As for Hellcat, those numbers have yet to be announced but are expected to swallow fuel as quickly as it can be pumped out of the Gulf.

Dodge Durango 2021 comes with a total update. But apparently, the manufacturer just released a facelift version of the sporty SUV.

Dodge finally gave Durango a Hellcat touch, given the model’s superiority, making it the most powerful SUV globally.

Horsepower

The Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat 2021 produces a thrilling 710 horsepower (529 kW) and 645 lb-ft (875 Nm).

With the arrival of the Durango Hellcat, each Dodge 2021 model will offer a high-performance SRT variant. However, Durango’s transformation is more than just a machine transplant.

Although its power is slightly down compared to the Dodge Challenger and The Hellcats Charger 2020, which produces 717 hp of power and 656 lb-ft (889 Nm) of torque, Durango still deserves appreciation among SUVs.

Its 710 Hp beat the BMW X5 M Competition, Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S, and Porsche Cayenne Turbo with more than 100 Hp.

But the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid excels in its 663 lb-ft (899 Nm) bursts of torque despite having only 670 hp of power from the V8 turbo and its electric motor.

Top Speed

Durango Hellcat can speed up to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 289 km/h.

The Durango SRT Hellcat is the fastest SUV. It also has a 3,900 kg crane capability that might beat the larger 2021 Cadillac Escalade.

Durango’s performance excellence is thanks to using a 2.4-liter supercharged V8 engine that has gained reinforcement on its engine innards.

Durango SRT Hellcat Specs

Keeping kinetic energy under control is the eight-speed automatic transmission task used in this car. In addition, the suspension system has been revised to offer better comfort and handling.

Suspensions experience a 20 percent increase in total rebound control, depending on the drive mode selected.

Dodge also claims a reduction in understeer and body roll, improving responsiveness when facing bends. In addition, Brembo brakes are present to provide greater control.

The brakes feature a 15.8-inch two-part front rotor and a 13.8-inch rear rotor. While the front caliper is six pistons, and the rear caliper is two pistons which gives a strong bite to reduce speed.

Durango can stop at 100 km/h within 30 meters. It was Durango’s achievement that would demean many two-seat sports cars.

Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Exterior

Dodge Durango Hellcat 2021 comes with its cool new outfit. First, he received a new front fascia design with a grille inspired by the Charger’s four-door sedan.

The slimmer headlights remind us of Ram Heavy Duty. At the same time, the LED taillights “Racetrack” re-appeared in Durango’s.

Unlike other Durango, Hellcat has no fog lights. The front bumper looks great for better engine cooling.

In the rear sector, the reshaped rear spoiler delivers a downforce of -180 kg of 289 km/h.

The 20×10 inch wheel with a special design hellcat becomes a standard device. There is also a Black Package that includes different wheels of the same size.
