New 2022 Dodge Durango Price, Release Date – Dodge Durango appears set to receive its next redesign for the 2022 release date. As part of a broader strategy to increase the production of the 3-line SUV, FCA has announced major investments directed to the Mack Avenue Engine Complex and Jefferson north assembly plant (both in Detroit, Michigan).

Unfortunately, details about what Durango will look like next generation have not yet been announced. Previously, Durango was reportedly scheduled to be discontinued ahead of the revival of the Wagoneer & Grand Wagoneer nameplate as the new 3-line SUV. As it stands, it is likely that Durango will now become a soldier at least 2021.

2021 Durango Models

Dodge Durango got the SRT Hellcat 710 hp variant, that’s the exciting news. However, the entire Durango 2021 lineup, including SXT, GT, Citadel, R/T, and SRT 392 models, is increasingly being updated, new driver-focused cabins, and new technologies. it doesn’t cover a quarter-mile of asphalt as fast, but these are some much-needed improvements to dodge’s big SUV.

Durango just got a more aggressive look by taking some fashion advice from the Dodge Charger widebody. the front fascia of the four-door muscle car, LED headlights and running lights, hood, grille, and rear spoiler.

On hell-raising Hellcat SRT, fog lights are discarded for air intakes to cool the large supercharged V-8, and the SRT 392 model gets a new front splitter and rear spoiler.

There are three different grille textures throughout the Durango range: a shiny black Hellcat and getting a larger opening for cooling, of course; The SRT 392, R/T, and GT models have a wide black honeycomb grille and citadel and SXT models get a Granite Crystal grille.

In addition, Durango 2021 has a closet full of new shoes: six new 20-inch wheel design options from silver to carbon satin to full black. On the Hellcat SRT and SRT 392, wheels are wrapped in rubber throughout the Pirelli Scorpion Zero season, although high-performance P Zero tires are available.

Dual-center lines are still available on GT, R/T, SRT 392, and SRT Hellcat models, and can be equipped with red accents, Bright Blue, Flame Red, Gunmetal Low Gloss, and Sterling Silver.

Durango’s somewhat outdated interior also gets a nice update for the 2021 model year. It features a new instrument panel, a more roomy center console, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen because who doesn’t like the big screen? However, an 8.4-inch screen is standard on SXT and GT models.

Dodge Durango Features

Both screens come with the latest Uconnect 5 infotainment system with standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa, and don’t worry, there are still buttons for things like climate control settings. At the bottom of the screen is a new wireless charging pad along with more roomy central console storage.

A flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifter taken from the Challenger and Charger is standard on SRT models but can be equipped on GT and R/T as well.

The SRT logo on the steering wheel is illuminated in red on Hellcat and white on the SRT 392. forged carbon is standard on R/T, SRT 392, and SRT Hellcat models, and Hellcat gets heated and cooled Nappa leather and suede front seats with embroidered Hellcat logo.

Dodge Durango Engine

In addition to the supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that powers the 710 hp Hellcat SRT model, the 2021 Durango has three other engine options: the 6.4-liter 6.4-liter SRT V-8, the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8, and the 295-hp 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine.

The V-6 powers the SXT, GT, and Citadel models, although the 5.7-liter is available on the Citadel and the 6.4-liter R/T. V-8 drives the high-performance SRT 392 model.

For those looking to tow their Trailer, Camper, or Toy Track Charger or Challenger with their Durango, there’s a Tow N Go package on the R/T model that allows a towing capacity of 8,700 pounds (V-6 tops out at 6,200 pounds, and 7,400 pounds for Hemis without a tow package).

Even better, Tow N Go adds SRT exhaust to some extra average rumble. It also comes with SRT wheels and tires, Brembo brakes, and additional track, sports, snow, and tow drive modes.

2022 Dodge Durango Release Date and Price

Dodge Durango 2022 is not currently available, and we don’t know exactly when it will be released yet. Prices are expected to start at $32,000 for the SXT, $36,000 for the GT, $42,000 for the Citadel, $45,000 for the R/T, $65,000 for the SRT 392, and $83,000 for the Hellcat SRT.
